As always, these are my favorites, you can find the rest of the photos on my Facebook page, Tragically Wicked Cosplay!

Snow White Photoshoot

I'm moving away from using Halloween costumes, but for our first shoot together, Anthony and I did use a couple. One of which was an old Snow White costume of mine. I always have thought this costume was super cute, although I would like to put together a better Snow White cosplay in the future. Also, I know, I forgot to iron the skirt. Oh well...

Anyways, these are some photos from that shoot. Anthony did a lot of editing with these photos so a couple of them have a completely different feel!
As per usual, check out the rest of this shoot on my Facebook page, Tragically Wicked Cosplay, or Anthony's!

Wonder Woman Fangirl Photoshoot

Anthony from Anthony N. Camastro Photography and I decided to start a series with a fangirl theme... in which I dress up not in a costume but in fandom gear for a character. I look forward to sharing the Captain America photoshoot with the same idea. Later this month we'll be shooting a couple more like this as well.

Per usual, these are just a few of my favorites. To see more, check out my facebook page!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year was CRAZY for me! I actually moved into my first apartment the morning of Halloween, so I was all over the place all day. I did manage to wrap up in time to go out and have fun :) I threw together a quick red-headed Harley per requests of a lot of people - they've all seen my photos online but very few of the people in my personal life have seen me in cosplay, so everyone enjoyed seeing my boyfriend and I in our signature Harley & Joker for the night. Bonus, my dad was in town to help me moved and joined us as Batman! Pretty big deal... he has not dressed up for Halloween since the 70s! He never would when I was growing up! So it was a lot of fun to see him in costume for the first time!

We hit up a couple bars to see a couple of the bands we know, and in between went to a haunted house. Was a good night! Here's some photos from the second bar we went to when we hit up a local band, Off the Wall. The band dressed up as Kiss...featuring Elvis, as they are a five man band. ;) Enjoy the photos of us and all of our favorite people dressed up from DC's Wonder Woman to Disney's Cruella!

Love when all my favorite people dress up!
Hope you all had a safe & happy Halloween! Til next year...

Lady Joker & the Riddler in St. Louis Preview - Emma Dawn Photography

So as I mentioned in a previous post, not too long ago, I ran around downtown St. Louis with Emma from Emma Dawn Photography. I don't have back all the photos yet, but here's a preview of Lady Joker! This was my first time wearing my Lady Joker cosplay and I LOVE it!

Vampire Photoshoot

In the spirit of Halloween, enjoy this lovely vampire shoot with Anthony N. Camastro Photography. Anthony and I have done a lot of work together and I love meeting up with him, so you'll see a lot of his work in the future! For this set, I pulled an old Halloween costume out of my closet. I've always loved this costume. Anthony has done several edits from this set as well. I included my favorites but you can see more from this shoot on my Facebook page!

We had a ton of fun running around downtown with Emma! I don't have back all the photos just yet, but here's a few she has posted online so far of my Harley Quinn!

Wizard World Chicago 2015 (Saturday)

My latest convention was Wizard World Chicago. I had a ton of fun that day! I went Saturday, although I wish we could have been there all weekend long! I went as Harley Quinn. Although that weekend there were SO. MANY. HARLEYS. I'd never seen so many Harley cosplays at one convention before! Must be because of the Suicide Squad trailer release. Anyways...

Unfortunately, my hair was much longer than the previous times I'd worn a wig and I didn't have it pinned well enough, so photos from later in the day my wig is slipping back. Oops! Lesson learned. We still had a blast and I have a lot of great photos - although I know there's more out there! If you catch any, send 'em my way! ;)

I have some photos from a couple specific photographers I will be posting later, but for now, here's some random photos from throughout the day!

Villain love

Just a few obligatory con selfies :)

In the Batmobile!

I shall leave you with Harley & Mr. Jay stealing the TARDIS... when the Bat's away, the villains will play!

Wizard World Chicago 2014

My first convention! This was before my cosplay days, so while my boyfriend threw on an outfit that looks like the Ninth Doctor's outfit, I just wore my Ten dress. We had a lot of fun! I really enjoyed seeing all the cosplays, shopping, looking at art work, and a little glimpse at a few celebrities including the always fabulous Matt Smith. We decided to go pretty close to the con so I didn't have time to save money to get any photos or autographs with any of the guests, but it was a fun experience none the less.

So, here's a couple photos from that day with cosplayers, as well as my favorite picture of us with the TARDIS! :)

Introduction

Ahh, the fun part, where I awkwardly introduce myself to no one because someday, someone (hey, that's you!) just might find their way to the start of my blog and expect something along these lines.

I'm Lys. Nice to meet you! I've done some blogging in the past but nothing that's lasted longer than a year; then once in a while I get the writing bug. I'm not really sure exactly where this blog is going but I plan for it to follow my nerdy little interests and thoughts. Probably a lot of photoshoots, reviews, mostly on my costumes and cosplays I've been getting into, with topics generally revolving around my nerd interests - Disney, comic book characters, Doctor Who, to highlight my main ones.

If you're interested, fabulous. I always enjoy hearing from readers so I encourage you to speak up with your comments...concerns...confessions. Any and all of the above. If you want to see more of certain posts, have questions or requests, drop me a line!
